all-star cheer gym in the magic valley

Founded in 2022 by Jared and Megan Burks, we’re an all-star cheerleading gym that’s taking the Idaho cheer world by storm. Our first 2 years in operation was a smashing success, with our teams crushing the competition and earning the title of National Champs at Spirit Sport, Jamz, and PacWest. But that’s not all – all 4 of our Elite teams earned bids to Summit, a feat that’s never been accomplished by other gyms in our area.

Despite the doubters and naysayers, we’ve proven that we’re a force to be reckoned with. We’re passionate about bringing next-level cheerleading to our small town in Idaho, and we’ve built a program that’s dedicated to helping our athletes achieve their full potential. At Idaho All-Star Cheer, we’re committed to excellence, hard work, and a team-first mentality. Join us on this incredible journey and see what we can accomplish together.

Frequently asked questions

Where will the tryouts be held?

Our Pre-Tryout Clinic and Tryout and Tryouts will be at our Eastland Location. 240 Eastland Dr #6 in Twin Falls.

What if I can't make the tryout days?

We’d hate for you to miss out because of a pre-scheduled event or appointment. To make sure that you can still be part of IASC, please contact us by call or text at (208)280-1048 to schedule a time for private tryout with us.

If I want to be on a prep team do I still tryout?

Yes! Our tryouts are sorted by skill level and sorted into competitive and non competitive (prep) teams. If you are placed on on a competitive team and would rather be on a non-competitive team after tryout results are posted please just let us know.

how are the decisions made for who makes what team?

After tryouts, our coaches go through what is known as “team deliberation.” This is an opportunity for us to go through each athlete’s skill assessment page. From there we create teams based on age, skill, and the make-up of the team. We take into consideration all areas of the score sheet. Although tumbling is the most visible skill, we will also consider stunting skills, ability to pick up choreography, and mental fortitude. Our goal is the place athletes on a team where they will be most successful.

What is required of parents for tryouts?

We strongly encourage parents to help manage their athlete’s expectations before tryouts begin. In reviewing the options available for her/his age and skill level, try to avoid placing pressure on your athletes to make a particular team, and instead focus on what they really love about cheerleading, whether it’s the physical challenge, the friendships, the thrill of competition, or all of the above. Try to reassure your athletes that you are not emotionally invested in what team they make, and that they will always have your support.
